Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) Fire Extinguisher

CO₂ extinguishers suppress Class B (flammable liquid) fires and are safe for electrical equipment. These residue-free units are ideal for server rooms, electrical panels, and food areas. CO₂ extinguishers work by displacing oxygen and providing some cooling, although their cooling effect is limited. Available in 2-5 kg units (aluminium or steel), they comply with SANS 1567 standards.

Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) Fire Extinguisher

DCP extinguishers are South Africa's most versatile option, effective on Class A, B, C, and electrical fires. Containing monoammonium phosphate powder, they interrupt combustion's chemical reaction. Available from 0.6 to 9 kg, they suit vehicles, workshops, and commercial use. Their extreme temperature tolerance makes them ideal for outdoor environments.
